You have arrived at the professional website of academic, budding political economist, occasional Sinophile, and voracious bibliophile Mrs. Clare Richardson-Barlow. The following pages are a collection of Blog Posts, Reading Lists, and recent publications.
Currently based at the University of Leeds, I am a research professional with 5 years experience working for international policy research organizations in Washington, D.C. In my day-to-day capacity at two of the World’s leading Think Tanks, I oversaw research programs, publications, and international conferences for a variety of projects focused on global energy and trade issues. I have contributed to multiple policy publications, managed the content and execution of a variety of high level conferences and research programs, and contributed to two book publications, multiple policy reports, and many articles written on energy and trade topics.
I have experience leading expert research groups on international research trips, as well as studying, travelling and working independently in multiple foreign countries. Trips have included: Azerbaijan, Germany, Japan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Norway, People’s Republic of China, Republic of China, Republic of Korea, and Vietnam. Today I am based out of Leeds, United Kingdom, and I am enjoying a part of the world I have not had the chance to explore before.
More information on publications and current projects can be found in the About Me and Scholarship sections. Teaching experiences and current courses can be found in the Teaching section. For reading suggestions, there is (of course) a section for that too. Thank you for visiting, and please feel free to drop me a line.
